「折形」という日本の伝統文化があります。ものを贈る時に和紙で包んで、礼の心を相手に届ける作法です。
「ORU-KOTO®」は、その作法を学ぶことができる立体教本です。形状記憶加工された不織布製の折形 （折形見本帳）と、折り線付き和紙を使うことで、紙を折るのが苦手な方でも綺麗に仕上げることができます。
和紙を使って自らの手で折り、大切な人に小さな心遣いを送る「折形の文化」を身近に感じていただける商品です。

折形は、使用する和紙によってさまざまな表情を見ることができます。最初のコラボレーションとして、 埼玉県の和紙産地である小川町の「細川紙」を使用させていただいています。 細川紙は薄くてひっぱりに強い特性を持ちます。和紙の材料である楮（こうぞ）はチリを丁寧に取り除き、 茎の白い部分のみを使用することで、雑味のない生成りの風合いを生み出しています。
細川紙のように、他産地の和紙の特徴も紹介しながら、和紙を選ぶ、折形の楽しみの幅も広げていきたいと考えています。

You can see how different each Japanese paper is. Our first collaborator is “Hosokawa-shi” from Ogawa town, one of Japanese paper producing place in Saitama. It is thin and has high tensile strength. The material of Japanese paper is a kozo plant. We completely get rid of dust, and use only the white part of the stem, which makes it have pure texture.
Like this, we intend to introduce other producing places of Japanese paper and also expand the fun of the choice of Japanese paper.

形状記憶加工が施された不織布製の「折形見本帳」は、何度も開閉して折り方を確認することができます。 複雑な折りを立体的に見るすことで、紙を折ることが苦手な方でも簡単に折形を折ることができるようになります。

この不織布への形状記憶加工技術は、中島プレス工業（有）がもつ特許技術です。形状記憶合金繊維などの形状記憶要素を必要としないため、 不織布特有の風合いを残しながら、美しい立体形状を保つことができます。

Using the origata model book, non-woven fabric applied shape memory processing, you can check how to fold again and again by folding and unfolding. By showing the complicated folding in 3D, anyone who is worried about folding neatly can complete it nicely.

The technology of memory shape processing is a patented technology by Nakajima Press Industry. It doesn’t require shape memory alloy fabric, the Japanese paper can keep the beautiful 3D shape with the unique texture of non-woven fabric.

和紙は、一度折り間違えてしまうとシワが残ってしまい、綺麗に折るのがとても難しい紙の一つです。

厚さ0.025μmのシール抜きを強みとする中島プレス工業（有）のプレス加工技術で、薄い和紙に、あらかじめ折り筋をつけて、 誰でも綺麗に折って仕上げることができるようにしました。丁寧に折り上がった折形は、凛とした佇まいをもっています。

When you misfold Japanese paper once, wrinkles leave on it and it is hard to fold beautifully after that.

The half-cutting technology for 0.025μm thick stickers which is our specialty of press processing technology is to crease the thin Japanese paper in advance, which let anyone fold the origata nicely. Delicately completed origata has a dignified appearance.
